1. Programme
Crypthax maintains a risk-based anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing programme covering customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and record retention.
2. Customer due diligence
All customers provide a verified name and email address. Enhanced due diligence — government identity documents, proof of address, and source-of-funds evidence — is required above defined thresholds and for higher-risk jurisdictions.
3. Transaction monitoring
Orders are screened against velocity, structuring, counterparty and geography rules. Alerts are reviewed by a trained analyst before an order is released.
4. Sanctions screening
Every customer and payout destination is screened against UN, EU, UK, OFAC and other applicable lists at onboarding and on an ongoing basis. Confirmed matches result in suspension and reporting.
5. Records
Identity and transaction records are retained for five years after the end of the business relationship, and are produced to competent authorities on lawful request.
6. Prohibited activity
We do not knowingly serve sanctioned persons or jurisdictions, or process proceeds of crime. Suspected cases are reported to the relevant financial intelligence unit and we do not tip off the customer where prohibited.
